WHAT’S COVERED IN THIS ARTICLE?

Explanation on whether a candidate has to complete a new Background Screening Form if Verifile has screened them before.

WHAT DO I NEED?

N/A.

GUIDANCE:

You may have undergone background checks through Verifile in the past for either a previous employer, or for the same employer requesting your new checks.

If it is the same employer intending to do a new background check on you, the orders can be linked, and we can transfer some personal information you input previously to the new order. Please note, however, in this case the Background Screening Form will still need to be submitted again.
If you wish for a previous order to be linked to your new checks, you will need to discuss this with the organisation requesting your checks.

If you have completed an online form previously for a different employer, then we cannot transfer the data and a new Background Screening Form will have to be filled out and the checks carried out from scratch.

RECAP:

The candidate is now made aware that they need to complete a Background Screening Form for a new employer, even if we have screened them before. However, if it is the same employer, we can add some information into the file from the previous order.
