Your prospective employer specifically chooses the level of this, and will vary depending on where you live (or have lived) and the type of role that you have applied for. 

Within the U.K., many job roles require a specific type of criminal record check to be conducted—the government specifies this.

In short, the level of criminal record check we carry out will depend on the requirements of your job role, and/or the request of your prospective employer.

When logged into the online background screening form, you will be able tell which type of criminal record check you will undergo by viewing the ‘Pages’ section on the left of the screen.

In the example below, UK Criminal Record (Basic, England & Wales) was chosen.
