GUIDANCE:

Your prospective employer may request that we carry out an Employment History check. If this is the case, they will ask you to provide us with the details of your previous employers.

You will do this by filling out an online screening form (we will provide details on how to do this in your welcome email).

The form includes the name of the employer and its address, your dates of employment and the positions you held. Please provide as much relevant information as possible, such as the website or telephone number for this business - this will help ensure that we reach out to the correct company for a reference.

Once you submit your form, we will then verify the information you have provided by contacting the employer. The information we request from them includes confirmation of your employment dates and the positions you held, or whether you were the subject of disciplinary action.

When reaching out to the previous employer, we will conduct our own research and usually contact either the HR or the Payroll department (or the individual responsible for providing employee references). If you have provided us with contact details for your manager or another member of staff, please note that this likely will not be who we reach out to. Instead, we will use this information to further our research.

Any additional information we request from your previous employer may vary according to the needs of the organisation that requested your checks.
