GUIDANCE:

To enable Verifile to conduct your background screening, we require you to provide full and accurate information. If you cannot remember your work history, we would advise you to locate evidence such as previous contracts, payslips, P45s or offer letters. If you cannot locate exact dates, you can provide an educated estimate.

It is possible within the HMRC mobile app to view your work history. You will need to download this and create an account. Once you've signed in, you'll need to navigate to your Pay As You earn (PAYE) Income tax records to get your employment history (View another tax year).

To help with this, please refer to HMRC. https://www.gov.uk/get-proof-employment-history.

Alternatively, if you cannot do this, or remember your work history, we would suggest that you discuss this directly with the company that requested your background checks.
