This article covers whether you are able to use a passport still registered to your maiden name.

GUIDANCE:

If you are completing a digital ID check, all documents scanned must be in your full current legal name. This means that you will not be able to use a passport in your maiden name. 

If you are not undergoing a digital ID check, you will have slightly more options with regards to your passport. 

While you still won't be able to use this for most checks, you will be able to use this for a UK Right To Work check, provided that you provide a proof of name change document along with the passport - such as a marriage certificate.
