• Can I use a passport in my maiden name?

If you are completing a digital ID check, all documents scanned must be in your full current legal name.

This means that you cannot use a passport in your maiden name.

If you are not undergoing a digital ID check, you will have slightly more options regarding your passport.

While you still won't be able to use this for most checks, you will be able to use this for a UK Right To Work check, provided that you provide a proof of name change document along with the passport - such as a marriage certificate.
