This article explains what happens when candidates do not provide consent to use their data for the background check.

 

WHAT DO I NEED?

GUIDANCE:

If you do not consent for your data to be used for the background check, contact us immediately. Verifile will cease continuation of your background check and will inform the client of your decision.

If you wish for your data to be deleted from Verifile, please contact your prospective employer to provide permission for Verifile to remove the data from our system.

Verifile act as processors to complete the background checks on behalf of the client (your prospective employer). As the client is the data controller, they need to provide their consent to remove any information from the Verifile system.

 

Please note: Removing consent could affect your employment chances, which is at the discretion of the employer.

Why?

Your prospective employer has undertaken a background check to both protect their interests and ensure that you are a good fit for the position you have applied for.
