You can provide access to your employer of your DBS certificate in 2 ways:
1. When filling the Verifile Screening form, the system will ask if you wish to give consent to your employer and Verifile accessing the DBS certificate such as the below picture.
If you provide your consent by clicking the option as shown above, your employer can view the DBS certificate online through Verifile. ** For Basic DBS check only**
2. For Standard and Enhanced DBS checks, DBS sends the original paper certificate directly to the applicant's current address through post.
Once you have received this, you can provide this to your employer. **
You can also allow your employer access to view your certificate online. Please click on the below link for guidance: Layout 1 (publishing.service.gov.uk).
** If you do not receive the DBS certificate via post within 14 days from when it was dispatched, you can request for a reprint from DBS with the certificate number. You can contact Verifile to obtain the DBS certificate number to contact DBS.
For more information, please click here: DBS certificate reprint guide - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).
