Verifile will contact you at two points throughout the screening process:

Pre-Submission

  • Verifile will initially carry out a courtesy call to you (where a phone number has been provided) 48 hours after we have sent a welcome email to your email address. This is to ensure you have received log in details for the Candidate Portal and to answer any queries you may have.
  • We may also contact you by phone if we receive a failed email notification for your email address. This is to ensure we get the correct email address as swiftly as possible to avoid any delays in your background checks.

Post-Submission

  • Following an initial review of the information provided, Verifile will reach out to you for any information required to enable us to process your checks efficiently. Examples of this may be:
  1. An authority form to enable us to get your employment and academic references.
  2. Permission to contact an employer.
  3. The completion of any forms required to process any overseas checks.
  4. Further contact details for your employers and academic institutes.
  • As the checks progress, we may be required to confirm some details with you. Potential scenarios for this are:
  1. Confirmation of dates of employment if your employer has provided different ones.
  2. Details of what you were doing during any gaps that creates.
  3. Confirmation of who you were paid by if an employer states you did not work for them directly.
  4. Other possible supporting documentation for an employment where it has not been possible to obtain a reference.

Verifile will contact you by phone in the first instance and will follow up with an email.
