WHAT’S COVERED IN THIS ARTICLE?

This article covers the UK Credit Check, and whether it affects a candidate’s credit score.

WHAT DO I NEED?

N/A.

GUIDANCE:

The UK Credit Check run by Verifile is completed at a surface level and uses the Electoral roll to verify your current and previous addresses. The check looks for evidence of bankruptcies, voluntary arrangements (IVAs), County Court Judgements (CCJs) or anything else that raises suspicions of someone’s previous financial dealings.

The UK Credit Check will not affect your credit score, and lenders carrying out credit checks in the future cannot see the footprint of the check.

RECAP:

Candidates will now know whether the UK Credit Check affects their credit score. The answer is it will not.
